I mean, I, as a greek, wouldn't write to a turkish forum with the greek flag or any greek symbols as my avatar. Of course I wouldn't hide my nationality, but I'd rather just say where i'm from if and when necessary...
Pictures can be quite strong in some cases, especially like this one, where political clashes remain unresolved between countries. And yes, they can overwhelm what one is saying or is about (in this forum in particular I believe, for some reason i don't think the reaction would be as intense in other forums
(and just for your information, even though you are entitled to your opinion about the living conditions in any country, it is really rude to tell someone you don't know "your country sucks", be it true or not. It's just plain rude-not to mention provocative
